Janome's Schoolmate S-3015 is specially designed for use in classrooms. This mechanical machine is user-friendly and includes 15 utility and stretch stitches, as well as a one-step buttonhole. Janome's Schoolmate S-3015 is used to teach students the basics of sewing: basic construction, quilt piecing, hemming, adding a zipper, sewing a button, and more. The presser foot pressure can be adjusted depending on the thickness of the fabric being used, and the presser foot lift includes an extra high setting, ideal for getting denim, fleece, and other thick materials beneath the presser foot. Janome's Schoolmate S-3015 is a lightweight, portable machine. At just 16.2 pounds, you can take this machine with you on the go.

15 Built-in Stitches:
Choose from 15 sewing, utility, and stretch stitches to learn the basics of each stitch. Five presser feet are included with the S-3015.

4-Step Buttonhole:
Add buttonholes to pillow shams, tote bags, and apparel using the four-step buttonhole stitch and the included manual buttonhole presser foot.

Onboard Storage:
Keep all of your presser feet, extra bobbins, needles, and hand tools with your machine in the accessory storage compartment, conveniently located inside the removable sewing bed.

Snap-on Presser Foot Compatible:
Easily switch between the included and optional presser feet with the press of a lever. The snap-on presser foot shank will release the foot, and installing a new one is as easy as lowering the presser foot bar onto the new foot.

Top Loading Bobbin:
The Schoolmate S-3015 features an easy-to-load, drop-in bobbin. The bobbin case does not come out of the machines, as with older models. Simply wind the bobbin, drop it into the case, and you are ready to sew.

Drop Feed:
Easily disengage the feed dogs for button sewing and free motion sewing; no darning plate is required!

Free Arm:
The Schoolmate S-3015 features a free arm. This narrow arm is just the right size for hemming pant legs and other small cylinders. Remove the accessory storage tray to access the free arm.

5 Piece Feed Dog:
A 5-piece feed dog moves in sync with your presser foot to ensure consistent fabric feeding.
